Mother’s Day Gift Guide
If you’re a last minute shopper then this one’s for you! We’ve also left it a bit late this year (not like us, promise!) and Mother’s Day is now a week away.
DON’T PANIC – we have you covered! Alongside our soy wax candles in 10 amazing scents we already have on the website, we also have a special Mother’s Day candle with a pretty little label for all those special mums. It’s an amber jar with scented soy wax just like our standard range, we’ve just given the label a personal touch for this special day.

This beautiful, new little shop in Kelham Island (woop woop!) has so many perfect gifts. From cards to clothing to ceramics, everything is visually wonderful and you’re guaranteed to find something a bit different for your mum (and probably for yourself too).
- Moonko – Division Street
Moonko is another lovely independent shop. You can find them on Division Street in Sheffield City Centre. They specialise in amazing plants and succulents, we think a great alternative to the usual bunch of flowers on Mother’s Day. They also stock handmade jewellery, cards, prints and much much more!
- Millenium Gallery Shop – Millenium Gallery
Tucked away through the Winter Gardens in Sheffield city centre is an open plan shop in the foyer outside the Millenium Gallery exhibition rooms. We had walked through and past this shop many times but only recently stopped to have a browse. It’s packed full of Sheffield made and related products to suit every budget and style and you’ll be sure to find a gift here. The ranges are constantly changing but they stock jewellery, prints, cards, badges, mugs and lots more! There’s also a little shop on the way out of the Winter Gardens run by local, independent makers in sheffield which also stocks handmade gifts that are very unique!
- BirdsYard – Chapel Walk
`You can probably see the theme by now… another shop tucked away on aback street in the centre of Sheffield packed full to the brim of AMAZING local, independent, handmade products to suit every taste, budget, style and need. From prints to tea to chocolate to quirky jewellery BirdsYard really does have it all. Be sure to check them out both for Mother’s Day and every other day of the year you may need a gift for someone.
- Kelham Arcade – Kelham Island
Based at the infamous 92 Burton Road in Kelham Island, Sheffield. Kelham Arcade has a variety of different businesses that could all give you an outside the box gift for your mum. Gravelpit homeware has quirky planters, cacti, books and other homewares. Nature of the beast creates taxidermy, art and other curiosities for some quite ‘out there’ gift ideas.Purdy’s Hair Salon could be the perfect way to treat your mum to some much needed pampering with a vintage inspired hair experience.
